Another exciting days
racing at the Royal SA Yacht Squadron, venue for the Commonwealth Bank 2009
Australian Etchells Championships. Not only the champion sailors were hot, with
furnace like northerly winds (40.5c at Adelaide Airport) varying between 5-17
knots, the level of competition was scorching!

At the top mark Kirwan
Robb’s - Pedro led the fleet followed by Jeanne-Claude Strong’s – Yandoo XX then
Skipp Lissiman’s Bandwagon with John Bertrand – Triad a few places astern,
however after a ‘snap’ kite launch by Ben Ainslie on foredeck and Andrew Palfrey
in Triad’s pit, several places were immediately made up.

Today we fell off the pressure a bit with Lissiman a bit higher, he took off in
plenty of breeze.' As for his team mates 'John is just fantastic, and ‘Doggy’ is
super,' continuing he said 'I’m the weakest link they carried me around the
